Meridiano Seguros has created this guide to help families adopt sustainable habits simply and naturally. It’s designed for all ages, with easy, hands-on ideas and tips. Inside you’ll find:

What is Almijara?

Asociación Almijara is an organisation with over 35 years’ experience in environmental education and ecological restoration. Since 1987, it has combined action with learning, bringing children, teenagers and adults closer to nature with knowledge as the foundation.

Its projects include planting native trees, creating ponds for amphibians and building biodiversity refuges, always with practical training and educational workshops. Almijara also promotes responsible tourism, so enjoying the natural environment doesn’t harm it.

A project with impact – restoring Málaga’s former landfill

Every download enables Meridiano Seguros to make a direct donation to Almijara in support of its flagship project: the ecological restoration of the former Los Asperones landfill in Málaga. This initiative will fund the participation of Year 8 (2º ESO) students in educational activities at the restored site.

During these sessions, young people learn about ecology and take part in habitat-improvement actions – building dry-stone walls, making seed balls and creating ponds for amphibians. All with a participatory, educational and transformative approach.
